What power items are included?
All the GE Standby Generator systems will power at least 16 circuits, which includes such essential items as a refrigerator, lights, stove, one air conditioner, microwave, garage door opener, and any other items that fall within the 16 circuits and do not exceed the total kilowatts of the generator. However, with our patented Symphony II™ Power Management System, our GE Generator Systems that are 11kW* and larger can actually provide access to many other items in your home, including high wattage appliances. This provides you with a right sized generator that is smaller, and more affordable so you can Power More for Less.
How does fuel type affect standby power?
A Standby Generator is permanently installed to either your natural gas line or a propane fuel source. Your Standby Generator, Automatic Transfer Switch and Modules must be installed by a qualified electrician.
If the Standby Generator will be connected to a natural gas line, coordinate with a qualified gas installation company or plumber for proper gas line installation. Keep in mind that for optimal generator performance, your gas meter and pipe needs to be properly sized to supply the required gas pressure.
If the Standby Generator will be connected to a propane fuel source, contact your propane gas company.
Please contact an authorized GE Generator Systems dealer for additional information on installation.
